Six months after being destroyed by fire Coventry TVR centre is fully operational again.
A TVR centre that was ravaged by a fire six months ago has announced it is now fully operational again. TVR Power in Coventry was left burnt out by the blaze and a number of cars were completely destroyed.
But after half a year of hard work owner Dom Trickett has declared the centre fully open again and says it is now better than ever. 'Within two days we were operating but only in 50% of the workshop. We lost some money because we couldn't have the same turnaround – but now nothing can hold us back.'
The fire in August '08 left half the workshop wrecked and at least seven TVRs were destroyed. About 45 firefighters tackled the blaze which started around 1am.
As a symbol of the company's new confidence it is now looking to expand to Ferrari and Lamborghini servicing, and is waiting for official approval from the marques. The centre now has a number of new facilities including new ramps and a balancing service
