This package has been built with higher torque figures in mind even though it will still have 390 bhp at the wheels guaranteed.  After the success of our 4.3 ltr engine we have taken the power, torque and reliability to the next level, we have the confidence in this engine to extend the 5 year unlimited mileage warranty to our customers who choose to upgrade.

Package will be available in December 2010 after it has been through vigorous road and track testing including nurburgring, and all over Europe in TVR Powers own personal Sagaris.

The Tvr Pro Stock Bike team have been very busy over the winter, readying their European record holding Suzuki for the 2010 season. 11-time and current British Champion and former European Champion Dave Beck has spent many hours planning the new campaign with Tvr Power proprietor Dom Trickett. “We have set ourselves three goals for the 2010 season” said Dave, “we would like to win some of the European rounds and defend our British title. But as importantly, we would really like to have a go at running the first 6 second quarter mile run outside of the USA.”

The 2009 version of the bike had set a new European record of 7.07 seconds for the standing quarter mile, but in a sport where every extra hundredth of a second makes a difference, this meant the winter had to see some comprehensive changes to the Tvr power bike.

Dave and Dom agreed that a new chassis would make a difference, as the 330bhp plus carburetted petrol motor had found the limits of the old chassis. So a new PMFR chassis arrived from the US a few days before Christmas. The Tvr Power team spent many, many hours building the new rolling chassis, crowning it with a brand new carbon fibre body. Most of the chassis has had new powder coating applied and the final stage will be a new Tvr Power paint job.

A lot of work has gone into the engine programme as well, with many new parts coming from MTC Engineering in Florida. The team have been looking hard at the cylinder heads in addition – Dave and Dom have many years experience in cylinder head development and together with US-based Rick Ward, the designer and builder of the heads, they are confident there is more power to be found. Ward Engineering have developed some new technology for the heads in recent months and this may find its way onto the bike during the year.

No stone is left unturned in the quest for more performance, an example being the ceramic bearings throughout the chassis and engine. Dave is looking closely at all areas, including exhaust design and vacuum pumps.

“We spend hundreds of hours looking for the tiniest increase in power, or reduction in drag or rolling resistance” noted Dave “the competition at European level is intense and with more new riders entering the class it will be even more competitive in 2010. Tvr Power bring a lot to our racing programme and I’m confident we will have the right hardware to achieve our goals”

Tvr Power Pro Stock Bike Says Goodbye To An Old Friend }

The final event of the 2009 season saw Dave Beck on the Tvr Power Pro Stock bike seeking to secure the UK Bike Championship at Extreme Bike Weekend at Santa Pod. The events of the weekend also resulted in some unexpected changes to the record setting Ward/MTC powered Suzuki.

While securing the number one qualifying slot on Saturday, the team suffered its first engine failure in two and a half years, resulting in total destruction of the record setting motor. To make matters worse, a rod exiting the motor cut straight through the frame. Thanks to the skills and efforts of Jerry Collier, the chassis was repaired on Saturday, before the super team of Ric Naylor and Tom Lynskey installed another bullet ready for the eliminations on Sunday.

Sunday saw Dave stage the Tvr Power bike for his semi-final bye run, then in the final the win light came on as Len Paget left early, leaving Dave to limp home on a misfiring motor to take the event win. “One of the ugliest wins we have had” smiled Dave “But it secured that UK Bike Championship for all our sponsors and my super team, so I’ll take that any day.”

The loss of the record setting motor and serious damage to the chassis has thrown planning for 2010 into the air, with the team currently seeking financial support to rebuild the motor and to replace the chassis. “We understand from Sandy Kosman that this is probably the oldest Kosman frame running in Pro Stock” noted Dave “But I’m afraid that we need to replace it now, which is a cost we hadn’t accounted for. But that’s Pro Stock – we push these motors hard and sometimes that’s the price of being quick. Looking on the bright side, we think a new chassis will make the bike even quicker in 2010.”

Dave would like to thank Tvr Power, MTC Engineering, Ward Performance, PR Factory Store, Nimbus Motorsports, Motorshack, Steve Howe & Sons and Stephen Moon Consulting.

Tvr Power Pro Stock Bike Win On Debut At National Finals }

Dave Beck extended his recent run of record setting performances in Pro Stock bike at the National Finals at Santa Pod, giving new team sponsor Tvr Power a winning start.

An off the trailer 7.22 at 160mph was enough to lead the first round of qualifying and the incremental showed the bike was still in the kind of form seen at the European Finals. “The sixty foot and 330 foot times were both better than on our record setting 7.07 run” noted Dave “but the bike wouldn’t shift into sixth, so we left something on the table at the top end. But it demonstrates that we have a solid 7.0 tune up now.” Round two of qualifying resulted in a 7.15 at 182mph, delivering a new ET record for the UK, backed up by the first run of the day.

Race day saw the Tvr Power bike defeat Mark Smith in the first round with a 7.26 at 179mph. The final saw a face off against veteran Pro Stock campaigner Len Paget, with Beck showing keen start line reactions and a quicker 7.21 at 182mph to take the win over the 7.39 in the other lane.

“This was a great first outing for us under the Tvr Power banner” smiled Dave “We are getting a great handle on the tune up and it showed in the consistency over the weekend. Once again my super team of Charlotte, Ric, Tom and Stephen delivered the goods.”

As previously mentioned on Eurodragster, the plan for 2010 is to contest at least four UEM rounds in addition to the ACU Championship. “Our 2010 engine programme is already underway thanks to Rick at Ward Performance and Eric at MTC. The Vance & Hines and Buell motors are going to be tough, but we think we can respond. Our goal is to win some UEM rounds and to be the first six second Pro Stock bike outside the US” commented Dave.

In addition to lead sponsor Tvr Power, the team is supported by MTC Engineering, Ward Performance, PR Factory Store, Nimbus Motorsports, Motorshack, Steve Howe & Sons and Stephen Moon Consulting.
